Looking to hire a meeting room, hold a business conference or host a family party? St Werburghs Centre has plenty of space for it all. We pride ourselves in our professional response to individual needs providing excellent facilities and services for business and our community.

St Werburghs Centre offers rooms within its characterful Victorian building or contemporary and eco-friendly new built Annexe. Both buildings are fully accessible and all rooms are situated on ground level. There are automatic doors and ramps making access to the buildings easier. Rooms 8and 12 are equipped with hearing loops.

We provide high speed internet connection, refreshments, projection and training equipment. There are printing, photocopying, e-mail and fax facilities in the main reception office. Catering can be arranged to suit your requirements. You can either choose from our recommended caterers or arrange your own, if you wish.

ROOM 1: MAIN HALL

Floor space is approximately 13.5 by 7.5 metres and can hold up to 150 people at music events or up to 100 people conference style.  It also makes a great yoga, dance or training space for smaller groups and is perfect for events which involve a group work.

Large windows, wooden floors and high ceilings add to a great atmosphere.

ROOM 12

With floor space of approx. 58 square meters, this rectangular shape room is suitable for conferences, training, meetings and activities involving groups of up to 60 people.

This modern room is located in our newly built annexe and benefits from wooden floors, underfloor heating and double height windows. It hosts our pilates, yoga and belly dancing classes in the evenings.

Rooom 3: Link Age Bristol

LinkAge aims to empower older people in the community and challenge social isolation by helping to set up positive local activities and make it easier for people to find and engage with current activities in their local area.  LinkAge is a registered charity run by a Consortium Board made up of The Anchor Society, Bristol City Council, Guinness Care and Support, NHS Public Health and St Monica Trust.

ROOM 4: KITCHEN

The newly refurbished 5 star hygiene awarded kitchen is equipped with a commercial six burner hob, an extractor fan, a large double oven and a double fridge. Washing up sinks, hand wash basins and work top units are positioned at two different levels and it makes the kitchen accessible to wheelchair users and children. The room is large, bright and furnished with plenty of storage - fitted and lockable stainless steel cupboards. There is room for three tables for food preparation or food consumption.

We provide storage for regular users and there are number of power sockets for your appliances. As well as being perfect place for your catering business the Kitchen is also suitable for use as a classroom or a meeting space for up to 12 people.

ROOM 9

With floor space of approx. 58 square meters, this rectangular shape room is suitable for conferences, training, meetings and activities involving groups of up to 60 people. It is located in our newly built annexe and benefits from wooden floors, underfloor heating and double height windows.

It has soundproof foldable wall through to Room 10 and can be booked as one big space for bigger events or if you need an additional space for registration, crèche, lunch or refreshments.

This room is being used by Shift Bristol for the theory part of Practical Sustainability Course.

ROOM 10

With floor space of approx. 42 square metres, this room is suitable for training, meetings and activities involving groups of up to 30 people.

It is located in our newly built annexe and benefits from wooden floors and underfloor heating.
It is currently set up in a board room style but other arrangements can be made on request at the time of booking.

This flexible space is used in the evenings for variety of classes from silversmithing and sewing to kung fu and sign language.

ROOM 7

Floor space approx. 7.5 by 6.3 metres.

This room is suitable for use as a meeting space or a training room, with the added benefit of 9 fully equipped PC’s with high speed internet connection which can be locked away once not in use. It has a white board and is often used as a classroom. As a meeting room it will accommodate up to 22 people around tables or up to 30 conference style.

ROOM 8

With floor space of 7.5 by 7.5 metres, this lovely bright square room is suitable for training, meetings and activities involving medium sized groups of up to 40 people. It has double height windows, two white boards, high speed internet connection and networking for a digital projector.

As well as being a great training space once empty it is often used as a crèche and for activities such as dance classes, Tai Chi and yoga.

Lobby

With floor space of 16 by 6 meters, wooden floors and very high ceiling this open access area is a wonderful space for community events and voluntary actions. It is free and it’s open to the community during our working hours. Once you booked a training room with us or a conference your delegates can use it during their breaks, for lunch or registration.

Local residents are welcome to make use of the PCs, all provided with free internet access for community use. There is also a kitchenette where one can make own cup of tea and a number of tables to relax, read, chat or have your lunch.

Open for free skill swapping events, language exchange, residents meetings and new ideas. Feel free to pop in, talk to us and make use of this great area!

KICC office

Kingsway International Christian Centre branches meet every Sunday where they engage in worship, Bible Study and prayer.

It is a fantastic opportunity to share the Word, be encouraged and strengthened in your walk with the Lord and also fellowship with other believers.

Like the Land of Wonders headquarters, teenagers may also hold their own services and perform songs and dramas during special services.

Awaz Utaoh’s aims to provide a service that will enable users to feel valued, uplifted and empowered. As the literal translation of Awaz Utaoh means ‘raise your voice’.

ROOM 2 - KHAAS office

Khaas is an organisation which provides services to Asian families who have children with disabilities and special needs. Khaas seeks to improve the lives of South Asian disabled children, their carers and their families. Khaas provides: Saturday respite care, holiday play scheme, health-related sessions, short courses, young carers projects and information workshops.

ROOM 5 - AMICUS FOSTER CARE

Amicus Foster Care is an independent fostering agency supporting families to care for Children and Young People who are looked after by Local Authorities. The agency is small, friendly and responsive.
For Foster Carers and Children and Young People this means personal and tailor made support from staff whom they know well. This could include therapy, therapeutic consultation, life story work and resource work. Amicus prides itself in providing opportunities for Looked after Children to reach their full potential and live fulfilling lives in their community.

OFFICE SPACE

St Werburghs Centre has a range of newly refurbished offices for rent by community or voluntary organisations. We also offer individual desks in a shared workspace. There is an 'easy-in, easy-out' monthly agreement and the rents are very reasonable and include bills and rates (excl. phone bills) and high speed internet connection. The main office has a fax and a photocopier and all tenant organisations have easy access to it by setting up an account for daily use. We also offer a number of meeting rooms and community spaces which can be booked on a sessional basis for events and activities.

St Werburghs Centre is the oldest community centre in Bristol and is well known for its friendly community feel and a real commitment to building mutually beneficial partnerships between groups and organisations in the community. The Centre is managed by the St Werburghs Community Association, which main aim is to provide meeting spaces and facilities for individuals, community groups and voluntary organisations.

As well as being very close to the Centre of Bristol we are close to M32 and two vibrant shopping areas (St Werburghs and Easton) with an excellent variety of shops, cafes and restaurants.

HOT DESKS

St Werburghs Centre has a room equipped in ten lockable desk stations, each with a PC, a lamp and enough space for a shelf or two. If you are interested in setting up a part-time office, moving work out of the house or need a desk on sessional basis it might be ideal for you.
